Join Faiza Shaheen and David Wearing to discuss the fast moving international changes of 2026, and what they mean for us here in the UK

Join Faiza Shaheen live at the Pankhurst Hall, Woodford Memorial Hall for the first of our 2026 monthly conversations.

2026 has begun with Donald Trump in full imperialist mode, and the geopolitics of the world in disarray. With so much international change already in 2026, we are having a special session to try and make sense of it all.

The brilliant Dr David Wearing, Assistant Professor in International Relations at the University of Sussex, joined us in 2024 to explain the UK's role in Palestine and what we in this country can do. This month he looks at the global stage, from Venezuela to Iran, and the shifting new world order.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A.
